Effective teaching assistants are knowledgeable about the operation of schools,
developmental needs of young people, and fundamentals of the teaching – learning
process and are able to use this knowledge to assist teachers in guiding student
learning.
EducatorsAbroad (EA) faculty (a global network of professional educators) offer
professional development courses for adults and post 16 students who want to develop
and demonstrate qualities of effective teaching assistants while earning an EA Level
1 International Certificate or United Kingdom Level 2 National Vocational Qualification
